Japanese Graduates Alumni Association of Sri Lanka (JAGAAS)

The Japanese Graduates' Alumni Association of Sri Lanka (JAGAAS) has been active since 1993, formed by individuals who have successfully completed their higher education in various universities and institutions across Japan. Serving as a dynamic "Think Tank," JAGAAS harnesses the collective expertise acquired through diverse research and programs in fields such as science, arts, and management during their time in Japan.

Recent activities are as follows:

• Publication of a book to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sri Lanka at the end of 2022.
• Special programme on specific skills on Rupawahini National Broadcasting in November 2023.

The main objectives of the JAGAAS are:

1. Provide a forum and to promote a spirit of fellowship among members
2. Promote and foster cultural and educational ties between Japan and Sri Lanka
3. Assist members to gain knowledge by maintaining contacts with relevant Universities and Institutions in both countries
