Inuyama Castle

Inuyama Castle

Inuyama Castle, a national treasure with a castle tower that is said to be the oldest in Japan. Built in the Muromachi period, it is in the limelight nationwide as a precious castle that survived the Warring States period. The view from the castle tower is just superb! You can see the Nobu Plain where the warlords fought from the castle.

The highlight here is the rare "Four Seasons Cherry Blossoms" that bloom twice a year in spring and autumn. It is in full bloom around November every year. The scenery where you can see - the pink of the four seasons cherry blossoms, the bright red autumn leaves, and the green of the surrounding trees - at once, is a miracle collaboration.

The climate is mild throughout the year, with more rainfall in the summer and less in the winter. The Atsumi Peninsula and the southern part of the Chita Peninsula are warm due to the influence of the Kuroshio Current, but the mountainous areas in the northeast are slightly cooler, and there is a considerable temperature difference.
