Climate (temperature / precipitation)

Gifu Prefecture has a wide range of elevations, from its plains, which are at sea level, to the Hida Mountains, at over 3,000 meters above sea level. As such, the climate varies greatly from region to region, with the typical annual temperature in Gifu City to the south being 16.2 degrees Celsius, and 11.4 degrees Celsius in Takayama City to the north.
