The first university in Japan solely dedicated to computer science and engineering
The University of Aizu (UoA) was established in 1993, as the first university in Japan solely dedicated to computer science and engineering. Setting forth the founding principle, "to Advance Knowledge for Humanity", since its founding the University of Aizu has conducted world-leading research and education in computer science and engineering to with a faculty comprised of highly achieved researchers from all around the world.
Our goals are as follows.
Nurture internationally viable individuals rich in creativity and guided by sound ethics, who will support technological innovations, as researchers, technical experts, leaders and entrepreneurs.
- Promote world-leading research and development in computer science and engineering contributing to society and academia.
- Contribute to advancement industry and culture in Fukushima by pursuing practicality and effectiveness in many different fields including education and research.
