Japan’s first IT professional graduate school
The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) is Japan's first IT professional graduate school for learning advanced knowledge and technological skills in the field of applied information technology.
Graduates can obtain the highest degree in the IT application field in Japan, "Master of Information Technology (Professional)", and participate as active leaders in the IT industry in Japan and overseas.
Anyone from a wide range of fields, whether in the humanities or the sciences, can enroll.
Here at KCGI, we recruit a diverse range of entrants from numerous fields in the humanities as well as the sciences,regardless of their previous study. We offer elective courses and support based on the knowledge, skills and needs of the students.

- In order to foster talented human resources who can contribute to the international community as highly specialized professionals in the future, we have adopted a unique tuition reduction/exemption system for international students.
We aim to support international students who demonstrate academic excellence and interpersonal communication skills, and wish to advance their education at KCGI but experience financial difficulties that inhibit their path towards higher learning.
