Chikushi Jogakuen University (CJU) is an institution founded on Buddhist principles, specifically those of the Pure Land Shin Buddhist sect. Our school motto expresses the essence of the principles in three points, that is, Self-reflection, Harmony and Gratitude. It is a women’s university, located in Dazaifu, Fukuoka, which used to be the political and cultural center of southwestern Japan centuries ago.
