About Nihon University
Nihon University, founded in 1889, is the largest university in Japan with about 70,000 currently enrolled students. An unrivalled caliber of courses in 16 colleges and 86 departments for undergraduates, four departments for junior college students, and 21 schools and 78 majors for graduates correspond to a great number of academic fields and facilitate multidisciplinary studies. Nihon University offers its students a wide range of academic fields and encourages students to engage in activities across conventional dividing lines between different specialized fields. Furthermore, colleges and departments are running their focused educational programs through lessons in a small class setting. The above are just some of the great advantages of studying in Nihon University.
Each college has its own campus. In line with their characteristics, some are centrally located in Tokyo metropolitan areas and others in expansive suburban areas. These conditions make it possible for each campus to have sufficient space for experiments and hands-on training and move forward with installation of state-of-the-art facilities.
We are proud to have more than 1,250,000 graduates who are active players in various fields. The number of company presidents who graduated from Nihon University in Japan has been the highest for more than 35 years.
