Kawagoe

Kawagoe

Kawagoe city is a main part of the "koedo (little -edo)" area. Old tower bell (toki-no-kane) which had restructured in the Meiji period, is fourth generation. "Kashiyayokocho"is lined with 20 stores such as a mom-and-pop candy store or Japanese pickled food shop. You can eat around for sweets which use local sweet potatoes. They are popular among people of all ages.

There are a lot of natural tourist attractions in Chichibu. Best of those would be the mystical sea of clouds. You can also take the retro-style SEIBU-trains, which are running through the great natural scenary . "Bukousan" would be the most famous mountain in Chichibu. You can see limestone carve and take a hot spring there. It is a famous spot among mountain climbers.
